Malvern College

We were approached by WMD Architecture to produce two visuals for the exterior of an extension to an existing school situated in the rolling Malvern Hills, the visuals were submitted to planning committee to help accurately realise how the building interacted with an area of natural beauty. We collaborated with the landscape architects to accurately model the proposed surrounding land and driveway. This involved interpreting the levels and forms of the ground from 2D topographical data and sculpting the 3d mesh to resemble it's real life appearance.

The school site is divided into two levels connected by a link-bridge, designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The exterior features sandstone cladding, anthracite windows and doors, a raised seam zinc roof, and solar panels. Accurate representation of these elements was essential for the planning committee's approval, which was readily granted thanks to the photo-realistic imagery presented.
